Description
Costières de Nîmes sits next to the Côtes du Rhône region and offers the same style of ripe, rich wine with black fruit and a hint of pepper spice. This wine is a blend of Grenache and Syrah, and the use of old vine fruit gives it depth, complexity and character. Great with sausages and mash, roast chicken or spicy falafel.
Certifications
Thanks in part to the mistral, the dry summer and good vineyard management, most grapes are very healthy, have lots of sugar and importantly too good levels of acidity. We are expecting to have a good balance between abv and freshness. A heatwave in September has caused some of the vines to start to shut down but in the last couple of weeks of the month the temperatures, particularly at night, dropped to allow for a more normal end to the ripening period.
