Description

Another avant-garde wine from this exciting producer. Aromas of grapefruit have delicate floral overtones, while the palate is lively and refreshing with generous white peach flavours and lime on the finish. A soft yet bright and aromatic white, it illustrates Laurent’s signature focus on purity of fruit.

Certifications

Albarino was first brought to the Galicia region of Spain by the French monks from Cluny along the fabled route de Santiago de Compostela many centuries ago. Laurent's pioneering adventure to repatriate the mythical Albarino grapes to France came to life when he discovered our vineyards high above the village of Lagrasse. Limestone soils coupled with a uniquely cool microclimate and access to water seemed the perfect place for this audacious project.

100% Albarino. Only one of this variety grown in France. Vines are still young but healthy and well established thanks to access to water and the particularly interesting microclimate we enjoy in Auzines Night time harvesting.with even earlier ripening we enjoyed fantastic freshness—pH of 3—thanks to a colder, humid month of September. Optimal maturity and perfect conditions meant we had a dream harvest.
