Description

A hidden gem from the up and coming Jura region in France! This cool climate Chardonnay has an excellent creamy texture with hints of patisserie and a streak of minerality.

Awards

'Delicately spicy and with a marked stony/mineral aroma with undertones of citrus fruit and even a little bit mealy, perhaps from the oak. On the palate, rich depth of fruit, almost honeyed/creamy in its richness, bone dry yet rounded in the mouth. There's complexity here in a young wine, something wild, with an intense citrus aftertaste. The intensity presumably from the low yields. Very fresh. The depth makes it seem chewy. No obvious oak except perhaps in the rounded feeling in the mouth, which is a counterpoint to the high acidity.' Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com
