Chêne Bleu

Gorgeous, scented, spicy and sweet red berry fruit with a touch of rose. The palate is warming whilst maintaining tremendous expression and precision of fruit. Rich fruit touches of sloe and griotte mingled with asian spice, garrigue and liquorice complete the picture. Hearty and welcoming but with plenty in reserve. A blend of 85% Grenache and 15% Syrah. Biodynamically farmed and sustainably-made these are some of the Rhône’s highest vineyards at 550-630 metres. Bunches are destalked and fermentation in wooden micro cuves before ageing in a mix of oak barriques and demi muid for 18 months.
