Hardys Crest Cabernet Shiraz Merlot 2020

The Crest range was created to honour Sir James, a fourth generation member of the Hardy family. Hardys Crest Cabernet Shiraz Merlot is a classic Australian blend of grapes – soft and juicy, with subtle spice. A very good vintage for red wines, resulting from a late, dry and mild to warm summer which provided the ideal conditions for growing and ripening the grapes. Picking at optimum maturity has resulted in wines which display vibrant bright colours with ripe flavour profiles, rounded flavoursome palates and soft fine tannins.

APPEARANCE: Deep crimson with red cherry hues NOSE: Vanilla oak over ripe mulberry and cassis fruit aromas PALATE: A medium-full bodied red wine with ripe mulberry and cassis fruit flavour, vanilla tuille and mocha oak flavours and hints of sage and black pepper spice. This wine has a fine tannin structure, soft acid backbone and rich fleshy fruit. This wine finishes with dark berry fruits, vanilla oak and a lingering choc cherry.
