Viticulture
Schist greywacke ante-Ordovician soil profile. The vineyards are dispersed along gentle slopes at horizontal levels as well as along the lines of greater slopes, called 'vinha ao alto'
Vinification
Grapes are de-stemmed and crushed before careful maceration to extract the required colour, tanning and aromas. Persistent pumping over is carried out throughout fermentation in stainless steel vats until the desired baume is achieved. Maturation
Matured in seasoned oak barrels for no less than 7 years
