Description

Chef de Cave Hervé Dantan insists on delicacy in Le Rosé Label and always tastes the blends in black glasses so he is not influenced by its colour, hence its pale salmon tint. Its fine raspberry character, with the signature Lanson freshness, makes it perfect with smoked salmon, slightly spicy dishes or as a celebratory apéritif.

Soil Type

The Champagne terroir has two major distinguishing features: northerly latitude and a dual climate that is subject to oceanic and continental influences alike. The subsoil in Champagne is predominantly limestone. This type of subsoil provides good drainage and also imparts that particular mineral flavour found in certain Champagne wines.
