Chateau La Croix Taillefer 2016

This is a supremely well-made Pomerol from Bordeaux’s right bank. Made from Merlot grapes with just a splash of Cabernet Franc, it is soft and rich with deep plummy fruit flavours and a touch of smoky oak. A very enjoyable red wine that goes particularly well with roast lamb. Certified organic in 2004.
