From high on the hillside above premier cru Genevrières. The altitude is an advantage in warm summers like 2018 when ripening is not a problem. Has splendid, vibrant fruit and the ability to age gracefully.

Work in the vineyard follows 'lutte raisonnée' methods.

Grapes are whole bunch fermentated and native yeasts are used. Vincent has recently introduced demi-muids into the mix as a result of which his wines undergo a longer élevage.

As well as the more usual 228 and 600 litre barrels, Vincent has a range of 2,500 litre oak foudres which were made especially for him by the tonnellerie Rousseau in Gevrey Chambertin. These larger casks give the wines a greater freshness and minerality - a hallmark of the estate.
