Description

This is a smooth, deep Malbec from the sunny South of France, bursting with bright fruit flavours: Malbec (85%) is blended with Grenache Noir (15%), sourced from chalk and clay-based vineyards around the villages of Pepieux and Homps in the Languedoc. With no oak, this is a pure, vibrant expression of rich Malbec, lifted by red fruit character.

Pierrick Harang: top gratuated enologist from the University of Enology of Montpellier in 1998, fifth generation's line of winemakers, enologists and producers, all sharing the same drive to creat the very best. Les Celliers Jean d'Alibert are premium quality producers, covering 6000 hectares in Minervois, certified IFS (High level) and BRC (grade A), investing 1 millions euro in their wineries and their bottling, treatment and wharehouse facilities per year at least, to propose the best services and qualities.

Cordon pruning and trellising, irrigation, 4500 vinestock/hectare, 30 years old for the Malbec, 40 years old for the Grenache Noir

Vinification

3 to 4 weeks of traditional maceration in concrete and steel tanks with delestages and maceration under the cap, micro oxygenation under the cap, before and after malo lactic fermentation. Ageeing in concrete tank. 20 % is made with a pre hot maceration.
