Welcome to the Puklavec family. It gives us great pleasure to introduce you to our wines, our winery and one of the greatest winegrowing countries in the world, Slovenia. Slovenia, with its spectacular forests and mountains, is located in Central Europe and is surrounded by Austria, Italy, Croatia, Hungary and the Adriatic Sea. Although the nation may not immediately be thought of as a renowned wine region, it has been producing great wines for more than 2,400 years. In the area of Ljutomer-Ormoz, in the region Podravje, the conditions for grapegrowing are truly perfect and the wines produced are known for their excellence. In Macedonia we found the perfect conditions for growing red grapes. The region of Negotino is a montainous are where the grapes benefit from sunshine from the early morning through the late afternoon. The climate of war, dry summers and relatively cold winters provide optimal condtions for growing red grapes. Our wines are best described as fresh, fruity and accessible to all. The same can be said of our family business. Bound by our love of wine and our passion for timeless winemaking traditions, we all work together: farmers, employees, our winemaker Mitja and of course the members of the Puklavec family. Our goal is to make wines that can be enjoyed by as many people as possible. After all, the best things in life, should be shared with others!
