Vasse Felix Chardonnay is typified by its bright, elegant fruit. ‘Filius’ translates as ‘son of’ in Latin, reflecting the relationship between this and the winery’s top ‘father’ wine. With tropical flavours, soft buttery vanilla and spicy oak aromas, this is a generous, medium-bodied white that’s a perfect partner to rich seafood dishes.

Each vineyard is selected for its unique characteristics and micro climates. Soil types vary from sandy loam with a deep top soil over high calcium clay from Karridale to deep gravel loam soil over clay.

The best suited grape varieties have been matched to each vineyard, and specific rows and blocks have been planted to correspond with topography and soil type. Natural irrigation.
