The Despagne family has been in the wine world since at least 11 generations. In 1972, it takes over by succession the management of a part of the vineyards acquired by Louis Rapin between 1938 and 1964 in Montagne, Saint-Emilion, Pomerol and Libourne. The family acquired also some other properties in the Saint-Emilion and Pomerol appellations.
