Founded in 1824, by Sir Alexander Ramsey, a leading whisky campaigner of his day. Fettercairn is Single Malt Whisky for the whisky enthusiast. Fettercairn is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. Seeking a purer expression of their spirit, the whisky makers at Fettercairn found pouring water down the still cooled the copper still, ensuring only the lightest vapours rise for collection, providing a distinctive colouring to the copper stills. The distillery carries the Unicorn as its emblem, the national animal of Scotland.
