Description
Our brewers notes: With whole-flower Celeia, Northdown and Aurora hops alongside malted barley and wheat, this is a Cornish twist on a classic smooth-drinking ale. The light malty aroma leads to a floral, even cedar taste, and a sharp tang of bitter grapefruit leaves a lasting impression; just like Betty herself…
Our beer name: The full-bodied, fun-loving character of Betty Stogs marched straight out of Cornish folklore to take her throne as the Queen of Cornish ales.
What’s the story? A quirky character yes, from Cornish folklore, Betty Stogs was reputedly full-bodied, golden-hearted and just a little fruity. So, you can see why we chose to name our award-winning, smooth-drinking amber ale after her.
