WEST Brewery was opened in Glasgow in 2006 by Bavarian born, Petra Wetzel. WEST is the only UK brewery to brew all their beers in strict accordance with the Reinheitsgebot, the German Purity Law of 1516, which prescribes the use of only four basic ingredients in brewing – water, malt, hops, and yeast.
