The exceptional vineyards acquired by Maison Perrier-Jouët over the past 200 years have always been carefully nurtured, making the House renowned for the quality of its grapes. Today, the vineyards are cultivated with the aim of minimising pressure on nature using techniques inspired by agroecology. In 2016, 100% of Perrier-Jouët vineyards obtained a double certification for Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne and High Environmental Value (HEV). Maison Perrier-Jouët and its vineyards also meet Quality Safety Environment (QSE) standards. These certif ications recognise the House’s commitment to a continual improvement of product quality, as well as respect for the environment, and the safety and well-being of its employees. Since 2014, in order to preserve and enhance the biodiversity of its vineyards and soil resources, Maison Perrier-Jouët has: — planted trees, shrubs and hedges — created stone walls — installed beehives. Maison Perrier-Jouët implemented a zero-herbicide policy on its own parcels in 2020, ahead of the 2025 target for the Champagne region as a whole.
