Description

Tasting notes This pure Sauvignon blanc has a luminous Brilliant, clear, and lovely pale yellow. Elegant with hints of white fruit (elderberry), ripe citrus, and understated toasty oak bouquet. On the palate, straightforward, beautifully crisp, balanced, and elegant. The acidity is well-integrated and complemented by pink grapefruit and white fruit (nectarines, peach) flavours. The aftertaste is long, expressive, and very fruity with a kiss of oak.

Viticulture

2016 was one of the finest vintages in the past 20 years. Winter was exceptionally wet and mild, and it rained a great deal in spring until June. However, the weather changed radically in mid-June, turning warm and quite dry, with cool nights. Ideal conditions for growing excellent wine grapes!

Vinification

Hand picking, whole grape pressing and fermentation, and ageing in oak barrels with bâtonnages (lees stirring) are but a few of the quality-oriented winemaking practices enabling us to make the most of superb grapes of the Pessac Leognan region. The wine is matured in top quality French oak (35% new barrels) for 10 months. Featuring fruity and floral overtones, this wine consistently leaves the impression of a vivacious, distinguished wine.

Maturation

9 -11 month in 50% new oak.
