Waitrose Beaujolais-Villages 2019
Description
Produced for Waitrose by famous Beaujolais maker Georges Duboeuf, this wine has bright red and black fruit flavours. Notes of fresh cherry, raspberry and strawberry are complemented by a hint of spice. Velvety smooth, this wine can be gently chilled and served with platters of salami, cheese and salad.

100% GAMAY, produced on 38 communes. Vines are planted on clay, chalky and granit soils at an altitude of 400 - 450m above sea level and a density of 8,000vines/ha. Harvested by hand in September. Grapes were entire, semi-carbonic maceration during 6-8 days and gently pressed. Malo 100%. Storage in stainless.
