Description
My driest, steely, slow burning, long lived Riesling I ever made so far with a very nice freshness, even for a dry and warm 2016 vintage. On the nose: fine mineral fragrance of ferricrete soil, charcoal & ginger in a tight corset, Furthermore, unripe pineapple, white stone fruit, fennel with great undertones of quince and lemon. The palate has again the typical Spioenkop waxing mouth-feeling,A full bodied wine and perfectly feminine. Cellaring potential: 10 - 20 years. Natural fermentation !
