Viticulture

Vineyard: This Syrah is a blend of the two vineyards on the Boschkloof farm that use Syrah clones SH99 and SH21. Both vineyards grow on decomposed granite and are handpicked to ensure maximum quality.

Our farming methods are approached as sustainably as possible. All the grapes are handpicked to secure the quality of fruit before they enter the cellar. A hands-off approach towards vinification takes place in the cellar to showcase the terroir and to expose a sense of place in the wines. The aim is to make timeless wines that tell a story and have a great personality within a quality bracket.

Vinification

Vinification: Grapes are de-stemmed and naturally fermented. Skin maceration is between 12 and 16 days before being pressed into 400l French oak barrels. 10% new oak is used. The wine is aged for 14 months before being bottled
